I’m glad Seidel finished. I signed up for SMS results from Pttiming and I wasn’t getting the results after the first mile. I thought she dropped out but in reality the SMS system is just slow.

Update: According to Pttiming: Seidel- 13.39.59

#3

Sometimes your carrier won’t allow you to get the messages. Sorry to hear you weren’t getting them. Signing up for all of them individually sucks and is time consuming.

Congrats to the Wisconsin Lutheran team for winning the D2 state team title! Kyler Lueck really ran a phenomenal race and was the difference today. Hats off to him! Nekoosa/Port Edwards ran with a lot of guts!

Any big surprises?

#10

I’m impressed with Brad Johnson last year ran a 17:29 at state this year 16:14, he’ll podium next year

#11

What happened to Meister and Pat Campbell of Aquinas today?

#12

Pat Campbell, Aquinas Splits:
11 5:01
13 10:31 (5:31)
74 17:28 (6:58)

He put himself in position, just didn’t hold on!

Tommy Meister, Janesville Craig Splits:
1 4:57
3 10:09 (5:12)
7 16:01 (5:52)

Tommy led this thing, was still in it for the win at 2, just couldn’t do it. He ran a great race and his team finished very well.

#13

McCasey, Lewin, and Christianson had great races! Besides Meister, I’m surprised that neither Hansen nor Tino Paz made the podium in their respective races. I think that shows how deep WI track & xc are becoming. 15:38 to win D2, and the top 4 in D3 are sophs… expect great things to come

#14

Shoutout to my boy Jonah Weisse! He’s gotten better every meet! He’s going to be pretty legit next year.

#15

I’d like to point out I completely called Meister going out hard and dying, just had to be that guy

#16

Why don’t you try to NOT BE THAT GUY.

I was at the mile. Meister was NOT out hard. He was relaxed. I can tell with certainty, that 4:57 is not that fast for him. I would say the race was actually out a bit slow. The D2 are started significantly faster. Really, he did not “die”; he ended up 7th against a tough field.

It is too bad Meister was not at his best today, because he could have joined one heck of a finish.

Don’t wish ill on other runners.

#17

Yeah he has. Kid’s got it in him for sure…

#18

This is a great feature! I would love to see other options for this. One I would like is to get the leader/winner info (in case they are one that your selected to follow)

I have US Cell and I didn’t get all of my messages either. I often have problems with texts though. I had thought that maybe so many signed up to do this that their system couldn’t handle it. I think it will get used even more because I showed a few parents & fans the feature and they really liked it.

#19

Ya seriously, don’t be that guy…you are a real humble DB! Oh, look at me, I’m so smart! I’m sure you predicted the top 10 in D1 today.

#20

A few questions:

IF Ryan McCoy was in the D1 Boys race, could he have gone faster and taken Chandler and Russ?

Why have the D2 boys gone out a sub 4:50 first mile the last two years??

Was anyone else surprised by Ryan Kromer of Hudson? 4th in state? Who saw that coming?

Do these results have any bearing for the upcoming track season?

Feel free to respond to any of these…
