Section results/predictions

It’s that time of year! Let’s see some results and predictions of the every section outcome

Section 6 is going to be very interesting in the team race
Wayzata is in for sure, after that it could go to Edina Minnetonka or maybe even Washburn

Red Wing/Lakeville South
Prior Lake/Sibley
White Bear Lake/Roseville
Forest Lake/Duluth East

Red Wing/Lakeville South
Stillwater/White Bear Lake
Mounds View/Maple Grove
Coquet/Forest Lake

Girls stuff …Boys later

Quick simulation of section 6…

Wayzata 32
Edina 68
Minnetonka 87
Hopkins 101
EP 112
Washburn 124

With Manley back for Edina:

Presumed boys contenders. Section 3 is the most interesting IMO. Near 4-way tossup

I assume this does not include Miller for Edina. Anyone know his status? With both Manly and Miller, I would think Edina would be a solid second.

Sounds like Wayzata over Edina as expected on the boys side

Edina and Tonka for girls

Section 5AA and 4AA:

I was surprised to see such a closely contested race for the 6AA section on the individual level, especially considering how many times Khalid Hussein and Seth Eliason have raced each other. I think those two, as well as Patrick Roos, Alex Miley, Innocent Murwanashyaka, and Matt Wilkinson, should make this upcoming state meet one to remember. Also, Murwanashyaka’s race at the Section 4AA meet should not go unnoticed considering his impressive time of 15:49. All in all, I look forward to the nearing state, regional, and national meets.

It should be a very exciting state meet! I was very impressed to see the 6AA guys run some fast times at Gale Woods with brutal conditions on the course. I agree that Innocent Murwanashyaka’s race at 4AA was a very good race.

Preliminary Section 8AA Boys Results

  1. Bemidji 81
  2. Sartell 81

Bemidji wins tiebreaker.

Super fast times out of section 5 as Maple Grove upsets Mounds View:

Miley looked awesome! He was cruising the middle part of the race. He is something special this year.

Anything from Gale Woods tonight. Buffalo, Shakopee, Chanhassen. The link isn’t working in raceberryjam.

But I was super surprised to see Kevin Dado not making state. It’s a bummer

Too bad for Kevin Dado.

He and Innocent are undefeated this year. Seth Eliason’s only loss was to Miley in the first race of the season.

No surprise for 2AA; Chanhassen and Buffalo. So many Underclassmen in this section except for Delano. Mitchell Grand makes it back to state…3 years later.
