Race Weight in the 10k

I am 6’ and will be racing the 10k this track season. I am 158 right now and am thinking 145 is more reasonable for that distance. Thoughts?

Solinsky was 6’1" and 161 lbs. when he broke the 10k American record. If you are trying to break 27 minutes, you probably should cut down to 150-155 but if you are a normal human trying to break 30 minutes, you are fine.
