[*] NBN Entry List as of June 12, 2012 Jun 09, 2012[/LIST]These links are directly from the website. I see Sandvold is in the fast section of the Boys mile and Arrowhead not only has a 4x8 in the fast section but a 4x1 in the prelims and 4x2 in the third of four sections of timed finals. Delaney FitzPatrick will not be racing in the 800m even though she is entered. No Molly Seidel entered either which is too bad because she won the slow heat of the 2 mile last year and was very quick in the mile as well. Fifth and third respectively. She must be hanging it up for the season and focusing on recovering for her freshman year at Notre Dame where she’ll likely have an immediate impact.

I honestly think we might have a third sub-4:10 this year as well as a new all-time best in the boys 4x800m. Best luck of luck to the Arrowhead squads.

Pretty cool seeing a WI prep alum having the frosh mile record:
Saturday 6/16/2012 - 5:05 PM
Section 1 at 5:05pm; Section 2 at 7:30pm
National: 3:53.43 5/27/2001 Alan Webb, South Lakes, Reston, VA
Meet: 4:02.01 6/14/1997 Sharif Karie, West Springfield, VA
Freshman: 4:15.07 6/11/2005 Andrew Perkins, Watertown, WI
Freshman: 4:09.69 6/2005 Sintayehu Taye (m), Portland, ME
Sophomore: 4:04.38 6/12/2010 Lukas Verzbicas, Sandburg, Orland Park,IL
Junior: 3:59.0h 6/15/1964 Jim Ryun, East, Wichita, KS
Senior: 3:53.43 5/27/2001 Alan Webb, South Lakes, Reston, VA

anybody know why there are 2 frosh records listed? The guy who’s time is faster than Perkins has a “(m)” next to his name, what does that mean?

#3

I think the ‘m’ could be metric. I see Dathan is listed in the 2 mile the same way, but his time was for a 3200, not a 2 mile.

Wow, now if Conley would have had his best day, we’d be talking high-7:30s…way to represent Arrowhead! two-1:54s and a 1:51. Russ could have been a tremendous 800m runner (he already is) had he trained specifically for it.

#9

As usual, Conley had to deal with people falling in front of him. The camera angle didn’t show enough to see how much he had to deal with.

He really should try the steeplechase in college.

wow, 9 guys finished within .91 of a second.

#12

And 4 of them were within .1!

#13

Sandvold has had a hell of a post-season. Based on the marks he’s put up in the past week, it seems like he might not have hit his peak quite in time for the state meet.

#14

Sandvold ran very well at XC state and then held it for an extra 3 weeks with 2 more races in the post season, he and his coach know how to hold it. He still ran well at state(besides the 3200), but his post season just shows he had more left. Could have been the competition.
And lets not forget about Tommy Meister. His last 3 post season races were very impressive as well.

Big 3 with some impressive marks in the last few weeks of the season.

Hirsch [B]1:48.89/B / 4:08.21 / 9:12.76
Sandvold 1:51.86(split) / 4:10.78y / 9:01.82y
Meister 1:53.26(not a PR) / 4:08.13y / 9:04.73y

Bolded times are the best of the 3 guys.
Hirsch is the most impressive in my eyes. I think he would have broken 9:00 if he was in the MDF race will Sandvold and Meister.

*I do not know what Sandvold’s 4:12.24 FULL mile converts to for 1600m, the time I have listed is NOT correct, but I know the correct conversion will still be faster than his state time. Anyone know what the conversion is?
