Meet of Champions

I can’t believe how fast and deep some of these events are.

Just looking at the girls 3200, there were six under 10:50 today, 10 under 11 and 21 at 11:06.XX or faster

In 2003, 11:16 placed 5th in the M-of-C. In 1999, 11:18 got 2nd.

In the entire decade of the 1990s, only 15 girls broke 11 in the Meet of Champions 3200. Fourth place was sub-11 just once out of those 10 years.

Today, 15 girls ran 11:03 or faster.

There’s a good chance more girls will break 11 Thursday night than did in the entire 1990s, although the weather doesn’t look great.

Get what you are saying and the depth is phenomenal, but shouldn’t you really be comparing groups performance list to groups performance list?
