This is a great interview of Brother Colm O’Connell who is from St. Patrick’s High School in Iten, a small Kenyan town that overlooks the Rift Valley. He is the current coach of David Rudisha and has coached many world greats since 1976. I truly enjoy the philosophical outlook he brings to coaching at such a high level. He provides an interesting theory that champions are more of a personality specimen than talent and in order to keep challenging a champion like David Rudisha they have to go about their duties to the sport of being a role model.
