In the OLD days

The Ben Malone run would be touted for things to come

An amazing talent who just became the 4th fastest NJ performer ever at the mile

Not much on this, I am getting more and more dissapointed.

#2

Indeed… but this is just a side-effect of the bar having been raised.

As good as Ben’s performance was, it ranks 3rd among what NY/NJ underclassmen ran TODAY.

#3

ahhh the Ryan solo? 4:05.x for 1600?

#4

Not exactly solo. 2 other guys sub-4:10, and the whole field out hard, like 61.5 or better. Ryan sub-60 for first and last laps.

Bill told me 58-point for 400. He led the way. Gotta love his nerve. After going 9:03.81 last night it would have been easy to sit back and let someone else do the work.

FAT splits: 58.56, 2:01.56, 3:05.51, 4:05.24 (59.74)

add 1.5 all the way on the edge, what a gamer

His improvement has been astonishing. Wouldn’t have dreamed he had this kind of mile speed. His willingness to push the envelope in races makes me think there’s more to come.
