High school honor roll

#1

where is it?

#2

when was the last time track was a priority for wissports?

#3

I’m guessing they will update it Sunday after all the meets are completed for this week, but I’m not sure either and was looking for it as well. If you look at the all-time lists however, Hirsch, Johnson, and Kromer’s times from the Brooks PR meet are all on those lists.

Except Hirsch ran 4:10.55y and Kromer 9:14.11y not 4:10.41 and 9:13.94 as listed.

Looks like Wissports is putting together a State Wide Honor Roll. I hate to be critical because I really appreciate what they are trying to do, and anything is certainly better than nothing, but check out the 400m times for girls!

The exciting thing is if these girls are running sub 30 right now for the 400, I am pretty confident that not only will the state records fall, but so will the world record. Need to make sure they run in meets with a certified track and FAT timing. I would think all of those girls would be able to run a good 200 and 800 as well, so maybe more world records in other events.

I know exactly what has happened here. They put together a data processing script for hytek files but the problem with their approach is that they assume that PT Timing, AccuraceTiming and everyone else ‘Hy-Tek’ the exact same way. In particular accurace is slightly different than most. They add a lot of things into their headings. Not that there is anything wrong with that it can just trip up what you are expecting and for events in this case be one or two off.

We are in a very similar online climate to 2008 where a transition is taking place. This time it is between ‘old wissports and NGIN’ sites. To me framing outdated ASP files into a ruby platform make zero sense but that’s for another debate.

If wissports doesn’t get their act together soon with at least a halfway decent legible honor roll for boys and girls I have a nice data table of performances going and will begin to publish an honor roll: Boys and Girls, 20 events-Conference, Regional and Sectional deep. I get extremely annoyed when I don’t see maintenance especially after how badly they had to have the honor roll in the first place. It is my belief that we shouldn’t need two or three honor rolls, we just need one. Wisconsintrackonline.com is done with passion by a guy who has done it for years. Up through the past weekend his lists are accurate.
