Get the Gorilla 5k - 11/13

#1

The Garden State Track Club (GSTC) is hosting a 5k on 11/13 at historic Buccleuch Park in New Brunswick called “Get the Gorilla 5k.”

Along with an open 5k, there will be an elite men’s field and women’s field there. NYC’s Central Park Track Club will be racing the GSTC-Elite in a scored dual meet, NY vs NJ, as a final tune-up for the USATF National XC Club Championships in Seattle. Indeed, this is the closest thing to professional distance running this side of the Raritan, as eleven men will be in the field with PR’s of 14:45 or faster!

The elite and open race will start together at 10:00am.

Finally, there is a costume & centipede contest in the open 5k with $1500 in prize money overall. A great costume could win you $200!

Don’t know what a three-person centipede is? It’s a West Coast thing… http://zazzlebaytobreakers.com/index.php?page=centipedes

Happy running, and best of luck this fall!
