I remember racing Wunnicke last year at state track, and he ran up to the competition. He surprised me a lot there, going out with the leaders, and I think those kind of guts will help him at the ridges.
Of the D2 runners I have seen this year, I like Joe McKenna. I get the feeling he has run a lot of races “backed off” and he has more to show than his results might indicate. Mason Grundy as my darkhorse, he seems to be racing into shape and he beat McCoy by 11 seconds at Albany a week ago.

WOW, that Breister kid sure went after it
His best time this season was 17:36 at Sectionals and only broke 18:00 two other times.
Was 1st place at the 2 mile then ran a 7:30 last 1.1 to finish 71st
Nah, Evans was by himself the whole race… wonder if Evans was wearing one of Breister’s chips or something.
