Not to be confused with crowd surfing

In all seriousness, have any of you ever had success with crowd funding your ideas/projects/startups? Tell me your stories.

Per wikipedia:

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people,
typically via the internet.[1] One early-stage equity expert described it as “the practice of raising funds from two or more people
over the internet towards a common Service, Project, Product, Investment, Cause, and Experience, or SPPICE.”

I’ve funded some campaigns. Usually ones with perks I want haha

what were your overall numbers?

#4

Just to clarify, when I say “funded” I mean I gave the campaign money. Usually the goals for the campaigns were in the tens of thousands of dollars. I usually contribute no more than $50 (depending on the perks of the campaign)
