Chasing chase in the 400 class a

Tosa East Chase Roberts is the top returner in the class a 400 meters. He is pushing to win the 400 meters this year and lead his team to a state team title. He opened his indoor season with a 53.16 in Illinois January 5th. Chase was 6th at state as a sophmore in 49.8 and the top returner although Ethan king from Bradford and Charlie sauter (more of an 800 type) we’re both right behind him. Last year the 400 was down vs historicals and this years race seems wide open again with no one sub 49 coming back. That being said Ryan potter ran around 48.4 as a sophmore so last seasons injury plagued season may motivate him to new heights and of course it’s possible a 200 stud like Elijah Johnson could move up to the 400. Lastly Carter snelson the brother of the 800 meter state champ a few years back looked great all year in the 400 and I believe focused on relays. He is both a 400 and 800 threat along with Ryan potter. After watching the oak creek and ashwaubenon quartermilers run 47s past few years, Kenny bednarek run amazing in highschool and at Indian hills and seeing the class c phenom at wild rose I’m hopeful one of these boys steps up and finishes sub 48 this year as last years winning time was too slow for the modern era (49 flat)

Big win tonight in 49.66. Will likely be a 48 flat junior by state if he peaks reasonably well.
