Loxom just went 1:15.42 at big tens. Damn.

#2

doesn’t count for record purposes as it is on a track that is > 200m indoors.

but a great run nonetheless.

You beat me to it. I just made this connection as well! Imagine if he and Abda were in the same heat!!! That is a very deep race.

I know this is ridiculous and an inefficient way to achieve a 600m Banked/Oversized to Flat conversion BUT…

Given Information and 600m conclusion:

   Event: 400m
      M Banked/Oversized to 200m conversion: 1.0160

   Event: 800m
      M Banked/Oversized to 200m conversion: 1.0143
--------------------------------------------------------------

1.0160 + 1.0143 = 2.0303
2.0303/2 = 1.0152
---------------------------------------------------------------
  Event: 600m
      M Banked/Oversized to 200m conversion: 1.0152

Mock 600m Coefficient applied:

again, it hardly matters as this has no record relevance, as GTK said, a very impressive run though

#6

So we are all on the same page that this was NOT an American Record, right?

#7

It all depends, man. Does USATF even recognize a 600m record? I know Track and Field News does, but they aren’t exactly a governing body.

If USATF and IAAF don’t sanction the record, I think it is a free for all among the various sources as to what is and is not a record.

I hereby proclaim Casimir Loxsom as the record holder for United States Men in the 600m run as recognized by Yoshi and TrackTalk! Why should some dickbags like TFN get to have all the fun?
