Blankenship is having a stellar indoor season setting indoor/ outdoor personal bests now at 1500, mile and 3000m.

3:35.28 (was 3:37.03 from 2013 outdoors)
3:53.13 (was 3:54.10 from outdoors 2011)
7:45.44 (was 7:46.55 from indoors 2014)

8:16.53 two mile as well, not sure what his best at this was.

Number of Americans who ran faster last year: 4

Manzano, Centro, Rupp and Leer

I hope his season outdoors continues the improvement!

Second in the mile and two-mile. Not too shabby. Very solid fields in both as well.

I’m surprised they didn’t make a bigger deal about the meet record in the two mile. It was held after all by the renowned Swede Edwin Vide. 9:07 in 1929. I hope he was disappointed to finally lose the record if you get my drift. Odds are against it though…
